Manager, Parts and Inventory

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Manager, Parts and Inventory will manage the procurement, purchasing, storage, distribution and security of parts, supplies, materials and equipment to support the overall vehicle and facilities maintenance activities. Maintains inventory of all required items.
 
WHAT YOU BRING

• High School or GED.
• Nine (9) years progressively responsible work experience in parts acquisition or inventory control where primary or exclusive materials have been vehicle parts. Two (2) years supervision of vehicle maintenance or parts and inventory staff in a bargaining unit environment.
• Experience with computerized inventory control systems and transit vehicle parts.

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 
Comprehensive knowledge of the materials control area and of the computer hardware and software systems applicable in acquiring, storing, handling and distributing hard materials in small lots; technical knowledge of vendors, service contractors, manufacturers and carriers active in the vehicle parts industry and the materials handling industry.
