The Advocacy & Government Affairs committee promotes pro-business legislation, advocates on behalf of issues of concern to the African American community within the Greater Austin region. The international outreach committee is focused on developing programming and conducting outreach to Afro-decent communities and Afro-diaspora organizations within the Greater Austin region to support the chamber’s international programming and to encourage the involvement and participation of international communities within the Chamber’s efforts. The Entrepreneurship and Business Development committee works to share ideas and best practice strategies to help small business members operate more efficiently and profitably. The GABCC Collegiate Chapter was developed with the mission to utilize students’ talents, efforts, and experiences, to increase membership, business acumen, and involvement within the African American and Greater Austin business community. GABCC encourages students pursuing higher education in Austin, and surrounding areas, to engage in ways to enhance our local economy and gain exposure to business and entrepreneurship.
